And here’s what concerns us most: new Lions often have no idea the camp exists at all.

This isn’t anyone’s fault. Clubs are busy. Districts are large. Information doesn’t always flow the way we hope it will.

Share quick updates at meetings — what’s happening at camp, upcoming opportunities, stories from campers and families. Make Beacon Lodge part of your club’s ongoing conversation, not just an annual mention.

2. Connect Locally

Reach out to organizations in your community who might not know about Beacon Lodge: veterans groups, schools with special education programs, agencies serving people with disabilities, blind associations. You’re not asking for anything — you’re sharing a resource that could change lives.

3. Promote Programs That Matter

Whether it’s Sponsor-a-Camper, Sponsor-a-Veteran, or the Carl Shoemaker Fellowship, your Committee helps people understand how their support creates real impact. You make the mission tangible.

4. Be the Point of Contact

When someone has a question about camp — registration, volunteering, donating — your Committee knows where to point them. You’re the friendly face of Beacon Lodge in your community.
