Riley – Camp ConnXions
Age 12 | “Every step’s an adventure!”
Riley arrived at camp as a curious musician dealing with gradual vision loss, clutching their guitar and wondering if they could participate in activities they couldn’t see clearly. Scout – Camp L.E.A.P.
Age 11 | “We can figure this out together!”
Scout bounced into camp as an enthusiastic athlete with Down Syndrome and hearing loss, immediately organizing victory dances and encouraging everyone around them. Max – Camp Sensational
Age 13 | “What’s next?”
Max came to camp with Tourette’s and sensory processing differences, always fidgeting and asking about the next activity. Luna – Camp Sensational
Age 12 | “Sometimes you need the right environment to let your true self shine”
Luna arrived feeling overwhelmed by too much noise and too many people, seeking peace in a chaotic world. Age 36 | Two claps and a bright smile

Age 25 | “Independence starts with ‘I can'”

Morgan arrived as an expert trail navigator and bird song identifier, eager to share their deep love of nature with fellow campers. Jamie rolled into camp as an established adaptive art specialist, transforming the arts building into an inclusive studio where barriers become springboards for innovation. Age 36 | “We don’t climb alone—someone’s always got your six”
Chris came to camp as an Iraq War veteran struggling to reconnect with his family after combat injuries. Through adaptive activities and peer support, Chris and his family rediscovered their strength as a team, proving that healing happens when you don’t have to carry everything alone.
