ARE NOW IN SESSION!
  • Camp Empower: 6 Day / 5 Night Session –  June 29 – July 4. Designed for individuals with mild or moderate intellectual and/or developmental disabilities who need up to moderate assistance with their ADLs. Counselor-to-camper ratio is 1:3.
  • Camp Felicity: 6 Day / 5 Night Session – June 22-27, July 6 – 11, and July 27 – August 1. Designed for individuals with mild intellectual and/or developmental disabilities who need minimum assistance with their ADLs. Counselor to camper ratio of l:4
  • Camp Perception: 11 Day / 10 Night Session – July 13- 23. Designed for independent individuals living with a visual disability requiring only minimum ambulatory assistance (sight guidance only) and no assistance with ADLs. Counselor to camper ratio of l:8.
  • Camp Liberty: 11 Day / 10 Night Session – August 3 – 13. Designed for independent individuals living with mild intellectual and/or developmental disabilities who require no assistance with ADLs. Counselor to camper ratio of l:8

  • Camp LEAP: 6 Day / 5 Night Session –  June 29 – July 4. For children living with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
  • Camp AD(H)Dventure: 6 Day / 5 Night Session – July 6 – 11. For children living with ADHD.
  • Camp ConnXions:  11 Day / 10 Night Session – July 13- 20. For families with children living with a disability.

  • Camp Unite (Children’s Village): For Families with a child up to age 18 living with a disability – July 27 – 31
  • Adult Family Camp: For Families with an adult age 18+ living with a disability – June 15-19

  • Project New Hope: (For PA Veterans living with a service-related disability) 5 Day / 4 Night Session – June 15 – 19 and August 3 – 7.  Project New Hope Is FREE for PA Veterans and their immediate family. 

    Project New Hope is open to all Pennsylvania veterans with a service related disability  and their families. 
     
    You will need your DD214 and your letter of determination.  
     
    The camp is located in Central PA nestled in the Appalachia mountains along the Juniata River. secluded for those who require peace burt rugged enough for those who seek adventure.  The camp is housed in the 12 cabins of Children’s Village. Each cabin isair-condirionwed with  private bathroom and individual storage cabinets. There are three bunk beds and a loft bed.  Each family is given their own cabin. There are plenty of activities, including fishing, miniature golf, as well as swimming, arts and crafts, bowling, shuffleboard, climbing wall, zip line and much more.
    Each year we bring in speakers and presenters to help provide pertinent information and  to help in the healing process.

To provide individuals living with a disability the opportunity to enjoy a camping experience that encompasses recreational, educational, and personal growth.

To achieve this, we stimulate interest and foster an appreciation for recreation, nature, and learning while encouraging campers to attempt new challenges and expand their growth circle.

Our innovative, intentional activities and caring staff help each camper build confidence, develop life skills, increase interpersonal relationships, and enhance independence.

Welcome to Beacon Lodge

A unique camp that caters to individuals with living with a disability. Our camp is proudly sponsored by the Pennsylvania Lions as a state project and is primarily funded through their generous donations. During our camping season, we offer a full-service summer camp experience for youth and adults with a diverse range of disabilities. Even during the off-season, Beacon Lodge remains open and available as rental venue. Whether you are a business seeking a conference center, a family in need of an educational and informative facility, a non-profit organization searching for a rental camp location, or simply a group of people looking to escape for a day trip or weekend retreat in the countryside, Beacon Lodge has you covered!  Additionally, our picturesque location provides the perfect backdrop for indoor and outdoor weddings.  The possibilities are limitless at Beacon Lodge, and we can’t wait for you to explore all that we have to offer!

From September through May, we offer several booking options to non-profits, organizations, and the public.

Lions

Beacon Lodge also offers conference rooms and dining areas to host your next Lions Club or Committee Meetings.
