Our facilities are located on 583 acres nestled in the beautiful Appalachia Mountains, along the Juniata River.  Serene, wooded, unspoiled with a natural beauty and surrounded by some of the most  beautiful wilderness areas in the eastern United States, Beacon Lodge is a very special place.  Secluded for those who require peace and quite, but also rugged enough for those who seek adventure.

Organized in 1948 to meet the needs of a camp for sightless residents of Pennsylvania, Beacon Lodge has achieved a far reaching aspiration…a summer camp for children and adults with various special needs, a conference center for special groups and organizations, and educational facility for families, a meeting place for old friends and family, a rental facility for group retreats, and much, much more!  The goal of Beacon Lodge and it’s facilities are to provide a well-rounded program adaptable to all individuals.
