Waste Water Treatment Plant Rehab Project-2019

Pa Lions Beacon Lodge Camp Waste Water Treatment Plant Before Project Start

Our waste water treatment plant rehabilitation project began during the month of December. Some of the metal was very corroded and needed to be replaced.

This is how our plant looked before preparations began.
In order for DC Goodman to be able to begin their part of the project, we had to prepare the old metal.

We spent a few days grinding the old coating off the metal to facilitate the welding of the new stainless steel.

There was corrosion under the old coating.
We found spots where it was rusted clear through.
This created an unstable surface for our walkways over the tank.

On December 11, 2019, the DC Goodman crew arrived.  They began the process of making room for our new stainless steel braces.  Here they removed the old angles that supported the walkway. Welding was completed on December 16, 2019.

Below is the completed project with the new stainless steel bracing. Our waste water treatment plant now has a stable platform from which we can work.
Although there is some clean up and finishing touches to be done, we are happy to have this project in the books.
